Claude E. Phillips Herbarium
The Claude E. Phillips Herbarium is a natural history museum located within a state-of-the-art building at Delaware State University in Dover. It houses over 200,000 plant collections and functions as a botanical center for documentation, education and research on the world’s botanical diversity. It is registered in the Index Herbariorum and recognized internationally by the code name DOV.
Location, Hours and Parking
The herbarium is located on the left side of the Ulysses S. Washington Building (close to the baseball field). Visits to the herbarium should be arranged by contacting herbarium [at] desu.edu.
Visitors can park in Lot 6B behind the James W. Baker Building at no charge. Stop by the herbarium upon arrival to collect parking passes before parking. Parking passes must be returned to the herbarium before departing. The herbarium is wheelchair-accessible.
