Outdoor Classroom
Elementary, middle schools, and Community Youth Groups can come to DSU's Dover Campus for an interpretive walk on our Nature Trail / Outdoor Classroom and take a tour of the Herbarium. Contact: Dr. Susan Yost, Educator, (302) 857-6452. syost@desu.edu
Campus Tree Walk
Established in March of 2006, the DSU Campus Tree Walk boasts approximately 90 different tree species along a 1 mile route around the Delaware State University Campus. Each tree is labeled with the common, scientific and family name. This is a popular attraction in all seasons for tourists and students. It is especially popular with grade school children making leaf collections. A map is available at the Claude E. Phillips Herbarium, the starting point for the Campus Tree Walk. The map is also available for download from this website.
